Amy Poultney

I have worked in practice since the age of 16, mainly as a volunteer. I couldn't find a practice in my area that would take me on as a student. I did my A levels and just then the VN degree course came out - I promptly upped sticks and moved to London ! My training was completed in many practices throughout London including PDSA and RVC. I completed the degree and became qualified in 2003, I stayed in London for a while and worked for Putney RSPCA Animal Hospital . I then moved to Yorkshire. I qualified as an assessor and dabbled in lecturing and became Head Nurse at PDSA in Bradford.

I am currently at Holly House Veterinary Surgery in Leeds as Nursing Manager and as we see a large amount of reptiles have just achieved my City and Guilds in Veterinary Nursing Exotic species.

In my spare time I can be found in the shops (retail therapy) and learning to dance (ballet) badly!
