![]() I started training to become a veterinary nurse at a small animal practice in Birmingham in1999, I then moved to the practice I am at now in 2003. I work at Avonvale vets in Warwick, it's a small animal practice that lets you be a nurse, the staff are lovely and more like a family. Once qualified I went on to do a Hills nutrition course and trained to be a pet insurance advisor. I am now training to become an assessor, and hope that my knowledge will benefit my students. I run rabbit and weight clinics with the other nurses and we run puppy parties on a regular basis. We are involved in emergency work which is the best part of my job. I have always loved looking after animals from an early age, and could never live in a house without any. I have two cats, Ms Woo and Marmite. I am delighted to be on the council and look forward to future challenges. Email: Helen |
