Donna Leigh Lewis

I left school without any real qualifications but at 19 was lucky enough to get myself a job in a Veterinary Practice. I worked here for a little over two years before leaving and trying my hand at dog grooming; this I didn't really enjoy so much. I went back to working in a Veterinary Practice and after several years enrolled on what was then called the Pre VN (now really known as the ANA). I passed these exams and was excited, pleased and most of all scared but then enrolled into Nursing College. After two years at college I passed my exams and am now a Qualified Veterinary Nurse and also hold my A1 Assessor Certificate. I am also, as you can see, on The BVNA Council. I am proof that even if you leave school without any qualifications you can still become a Qualified Veterinary Nurse.
