I qualified as a VN in 2002 whilst working in a small animal practice. I then moved to London and completed a degree in Veterinary Nursing at the Royal Veterinary College / Middlesex University. During this period I spent time locuming at a variety of small animal practices. I now work for the Royal Veterinary College where I am part of the academic team within the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences. I am a qualified assessor, internal verifier and an examiner for the RCVS Veterinary Nursing practical exams. I have been a member of the British Veterinary Nursing Association for many years and delight in being the area representative for the Metropolitan region. In my spare time, I enjoy keeping fit and am usually at the gym or out of doors, either running or on my bike. I also enjoy travelling, socialising with friends and family, reading, listening to music and going to the cinema.
