VNCDP DipCABT: Diploma in Companion Animal Behaviour and Training

A bespoke one-year (DipCABT) course for qualified VNs wishing to run behaviour clinics, puppy classes and remedial dog/cat training within their own veterinary practice or place of work. Can lead to second year Practical (DipCABTH) and third year more academic studies to Degree level (DipCABTGrad).

VN02 Certificate in Canine Nursing (Advanced) - designed for qualified VNs seeking to advance their knowledge of applied clinical canine veterinary care, incorporating an up-to-the-minute understanding of behavioural science.

FAB12 Certificate in Feline Nursing (Advanced) - designed for qualified VNS seeking to advance their knowledge of applied clinical feline veterinary care, incorporating an up-to-the-minute understanding of behavioural science.

FAB15 Diploma in Feline Nursing (Expert) - a first year university level course designed for VNs who have completed the FAB12 course above and who aspire to FAB's model of clinical excellence in feline nursing.

 

DOGPRO

CP01 Award in Canine Health and Welfare - the ideal starting point for anyone wanting to acquire a basic knowledge of canine care in order to pursue an interest in dogs or a professional career in fields such as grooming, rescue and welfare work or kennel management.

CP02 Certificate in Canine Health and Welfare - designed for anyone who is already working with dogs in a professional role, this course builds on the underpinning units from the Award above to enable students to specialise in options such as training and behaviour, rescue and rehabilitation of dogs or kennel management.

 

FABPRO

FABPRO1 Certificate in Feline Health and Welfare - a particularly suitable course for anyone caring for cats in a boarding, breeding or rescue capacity; gives a solid grounding in cat health and welfare and provides essential information for anyone working with cats.

FABPRO2 Diploma in Feline Health and Welfare - designed for students who want both the essential grounding of the Certificate course and to acquire in-depth knowledge in their chosen specialist field such as the breeding of cats, rescue or boarding.

 

CO1 Dogwise Stage 1 - To develop your understanding of how dogs think and behave and to help you run exceptional puppy and dog training classes.

CO2 Dogwise Stage 2 - Psychological and physiological processes . . . explore the psychology and the inner workings of the dog's mind and develop your skills of interpretation of canine behaviour.

CO3 Think Cat Stage 1 - To develop your understanding of feline origins, social and predatory behavior, and the fascinating relationship between cats and their owners.

CO4 Think Cat Stage 2 - Psychological and physiological processes . . . explore the psychology and inner workings of the cat's mind and develop your skills of interpretation of feline behaviour.

CO7 An Introduction to Animal Behaviour - A broad ranging ‘taster' course with specifically selected units on wolf, dog and cat behaviour, ethology and psychology.
