Hi.  Firstly, let me introduce myself, my name is Paula Quinn and I am delighted to be your Northern Ireland Regional Co-ordinator!

I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in December 2001. I was among the first group of trainee nurses to attend the Veterinary Nursing course in Northern Ireland. Prior to this, the nearest place for trainees in Northern Ireland was to travel to Scotland.

I currently work for the PDSA in Belfast.

I have always had a great love of animals and grew up with dogs all my life. I suppose I like the fact that the animals seem to like me!

I currently own one greyhound – Saskia, and two lurchers – Daisy and Josie. All my dogs were rescue dogs and each has their own individual story. I have two goats - Bella & Buffy, who are mother and daughter and completely inseparable! And 2 guinea pigs, Stevie G & Rodney, however, with my young sons, Stevie G's name can change on a weekly basis depending on what football team he and his school friends are supporting at the time!

I would appreciate any feedback on ideas you may have with regard to topics you would like covered in cpd meetings, any speakers you know who would be willing to talk at meetings and of course, any other suggestions you may have.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Paula
