I started nursing in January 2002, after leaving school. I was very lucky, managing to get a training position almost straight away. I spent nearly 2 years in this busy small animal hospital, before moving on to locum for a while.

I was a locum for only a few months before I found my next training position at a mixed practice in Surrey. I started this job in October 2004, I studied Veterinary nursing first at MYF in Aldershot, then Chichester College, Brinsbury campus, and finally qualified in May 2008. I am currently still working at the same practice, however I have now taken on more paperwork and, more excitingly the training of our student nurses. I love being able to pass on my knowledge and experience, but also being able to continue the nursing work that I love.

In my life outside of work I am a wife and Mother. We have a bouncy, one eyed Border collie called Zebedee, and a very lazy brown Burmese cat called Maverick.

I feel very honoured to be the Surrey Regional Co-ordinator, and look forward to arranging some interesting meetings. If you have any ideas for future meeting please let me know.

I hope to meet you all soon.
