Bursaries and Grants Available

BVNA work alongside numerous of companies and institutions to award a number of bursaries each year with the aim of assisting students or qualified Veterinary Nurses.  If you are awarded a bursary you MUST be available to attend BVNA Congress on 8 October 2011.

Please find details below of the bursaries currently available and application forms to download.  THE DENTISTRY BURSARY IS STILL AVAILABLE BUT ALL OTHER APPLICATIONS HAVE NOW CLOSED FOR 2011.  2012 APPLICATIONS WILL BE AVAILABLE FROM EARLY JANUARY.

 

RCVS Trust Small Grants ProgrammeRCVS Trust

Up to £5,000 for projects that meet well-defined objectives in veterinary science and medicine, animal care and welfare, veterinary education and/or professional development.

Small grants are available to RCVS members and Registered and Listed Vet Nurses. An individual applying on behalf of an organisation need not be a member of the RCVS, provided the project falls within one of the defined areas listed in the guidance notes.

Who can apply: Student ANA’s, Student VN’s, Qualified VN’s
Criteria: Applicants must be a current Member of the BVNA and be able to attend BVNA Congress in October to accept their award.

Objectives: General furthering of veterinary nurse training
Who can apply: Student ANA’s, Student VN’s, Qualified VN’s
Criteria: Applicants must be a current Member of the BVNA and be able to attend BVNA Congress in October to accept their award.

Amount: Up to £500
Objectives: General furthering of veterinary nurse training

Amount: £3,000 total
Objectives: General furthering of veterinary nurse training
Who can apply: Student ANA’s, Student VN’s, Qualified VN’s
Criteria: Applicants must complete, in full, the above training. They must also be able to attend BVNA Congress in October to accept their award.

Amount: £4,000 over 4 years
Objectives: To cover the cost of completing the VN Degree
Who can apply: Degree Students
Criteria: Applicants must complete, in full, the above training. They must also be able to attend BVNA Congress in October to accept their award.

Amount: £1600 to cover full course fees and some expenses

Objectives: To cover the cost of completing the BVNA Veterinary Nurse Certificate in Dentistry

Who can apply: Qualified Veterinary Nurses ONLY

Criteria: Applicants must complete, in full, the above training course.
