National VN Week - November 12-18 2007

VN week 2007 was a huge success with practices up and down the country organising and participating in events to raise awareness of Veterinary Nursing. The week came to an end with a massive event held in Kensington Park Gardens, organised by Bonny Millar the BVNA vice president.

The event was entitled Health Checks in the Park and saw the BVNA council RVN’s advising owners in the park on preventive healthcare for their pets (with the support of a Veterinary Surgeon) and showing just how useful a VN can be!

There were, of course prize winners from the events held during VN week, please go here to find out more.
All those who sent in VN week evidence raised in excess of £5000 for local and national charities, not just limited to animal charities. Our VN week participants feel a tremendous responsibility to help everyone, not just the furry friends and we are thrilled that they are getting involved in their communities.

The BVNA is very grateful for the effort that went into producing the evidence that was sent in for VN week, and we are confident that the general public has learned much more about VN’s and their role in the community. The momentum is building!

Plans are already in place for VN week 2008 so keep clicking in for more details to come.
