BVNA Council Nominations for 2020/21

This year we are looking for STUDENT MEMBERS TOO!

The British Veterinary Nursing Association is calling on all full members AND student members to stand for election onto BVNA Council. 

This year we have 5 full member (RVN) seats and 2 student member seats available on BVNA Council so if you are passionate about our profession and would like to make a difference, get yourself nominated and join us as the voice for veterinary nurses.

Full (RVN) Member Seat Nomination Guidelines:

To be eligible for election as a BVNA Council Member, a member must:

  • be a Full (RVN) Member
  • be resident in the United Kingdom
  • be nominated to the position of Council Member by a Full Member (RVN)
  • have their nomination seconded by another Full Member (RVN)

Student Seat Nomination Guidelines:

To be eligible for election as Student Council Member, the student member must:

  • Be enrolled and undertaking a FE or HE veterinary nursing qualification
  • Have not less than 6 months left in education at the time of being ratified as a Council Member
  • In the case of the student being in HE, have confirmation of support from their college tutor
  • In the case of FE vocational students have a confirmation of support from their clinical coach

Important attributes for candidates are a strong commitment to promoting the ideals of the BVNA as well as the veterinary nursing profession in general and a willingness to devote time and effort to representing their fellow members.

Closing date for nominations is 31 March 2020!
