Meeting Details:

The CPD event will look at the ECG as a tool to monitor our patients, in support of the veterinary surgeon, during anaesthesia and as a general monitoring aid.  The focus will be on veterinary nurses reading the traces to understand what different traces mean, where we should take actions and where we don’t need to worry:

1. Understand the genesis of the electrocardiograph

2. Identify the normal components of a canine ECG - P, QRS and T

3. Identify arrhythmias commonly seen during anaesthesia

4. Learn how to manage anaesthesia related arrhythmia
